Nigerian musician, Harrison Okiri, popularly known as Harrysong, has welcomed a baby girl with his wife. The joyous singer, who was in faraway Malta at the time of the birth early Thursday morning, posted a video call he had with his wife Alexer Peres Gopa.
Taking to his Instagram page, an elated Harrysong revealed that the newborn has been named Daviva.
He wrote: “And just this morning in the very cold winter season in Malta my woman delivered my beautiful bundle of blessing my princess is here. She’s called Daviva welcome to my world of love, Hard work, peace, money, fame and grace I guess she knows it? I’m the happiest and most blessed man this year 2021.”
He further revealed that the baby will be welcomed with a new track, ‘She Knows’ featuring Fireboy and Olamide.
Harrysong’s music career started at age 11 playing the conga in the church his mother served as the music director. He went on to learn contemporary gospel music. In 2007, he moved to Lagos as the lead singer of a live band which perform in nightclubs until he met Kcee which led to him signing for Five Star Music.
His rise to fame came when he released the single ‘I’m In Love’ and ‘Taiye & Kehinde’ with the music video of the former topping music video charts including Trace TV. He went on to release his debut album ‘Testify’ through QuestionMark Entertainment in 2012.
Just before the coronavirus entered Nigeria, he released a new song titled ‘Bumbumbum’ in which he featured Davido.
In June 2017, Harrysong welcomed twin babies with Alexer Perez Gopa. In February 2021, he confirmed his engagement with Alexer Perez Gopa on his Instagram page, and they both got married on March 27, 2021, in Warri.
