\"Man

                                                                                Lee\’s parents.

A son has been charged with murder after his father and mother were found stabbed to death at home.

The suspect, Lee Tipping, 35, will appear before magistrates today charged with the murder of Anthony Tipping, 60, and Tricia Livesey, 57.

The couple were found dead by officers who had been called amid concern over their safety on Saturday, November 20.

Police officers forced entry into their house in Higher Walton, Lancs., and made the grim discovery.

Post-mortem examinations showed that they both died from multiple stab wounds, police said.

Tipping, who lived at the same house as the couple, was held at the scene on suspicion of murder before being detained under the Mental Health Act.

However, after a review, he was deemed fit for interview and police were last night given the green light to charge him with both murders from the Crown Prosecution Service.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: \’We were called at 1.40pm on Saturday, November 20th to a concern for the safety of the occupants of a property in Cann Bridge Street.

\’Officers forced entry and sadly found Tricia Livesey, aged 57, and Anthony Tipping, aged 60 deceased inside the address.

\’35-year-old Lee Tipping was arrested on suspicion of murder and was subsequently detained under the Mental Health Act.

\’After a review, he was deemed fit for interview and after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service he was yesterday evening charged with both murders.

\’The family of the victims have been made aware of the latest developments and are being supported by liaison officers. Our thoughts remain with them.\’
