Tears as Actress Ada Ameh is buried in her hometown in Benue (VIDEO)

Ada Ameh, a Benue State actress, was laid to rest in her hometown of Ogobia, Otukpo.

Ada’s body arrived on Friday at noon.

Her colleagues, friends, family, and relatives were overcome with emotion as her body was lowered to the ground in her father’s compound in a white casket.

Empress Njamah, Ada’s best friend, sobbed uncontrollably as the casket was lowered to the ground, while others tried to console her.

Some members of the Africa Magic cast, including Charles Inojie and Duke Elvis, attended the burial.

Ada died on July 17, two years after her only daughter Ladi died.

Prior to her death, the actress revealed that she had been suffering from mental illness as a result of the deaths of her loved ones.

She discussed her ordeal with media personality Morayo Afolabi-Brown on the Your View TV show, which aired on Friday, July 1.

According to the actress from The Johnsons, she had been depressed for years, and her daughter Ladi’s death exacerbated her depression because Ladi was her best friend and sister, and her world had crumbled.

She also revealed that she had six siblings before Ladi died.

“I have depression, I have been depressed for some years, and it got much worse when I lost my daughter in 2020,” she explained. I was 14 when I had her; she was my best friend and sister, and I could see my world crumbling around me.

“Three of my sisters and three of my brothers had died.” When my younger sister died, I thought I’d be next, and I’ve been in and out of the hospital,” She stated.

Ada Ameh paid a visit to her daughter’s grave on the first anniversary of her death last year.

Ladi died on October 20, 2020, in Abuja, Nigeria, as a result of an unsuccessful surgery. She was laid to rest in Gwarinpa, Abuja on October 31.

May her soul rest in peace.
