Wizkid, a superstar of Nigerian music, is once again making headlines for breaking records. This time, he is the only one on the continent who can boast about his new accomplishment.
With an RIAA certification that speaks Gold for his smash album “Made In Lagos,” the multi-award winning singer has made a significant achievement.
The album, which was released on October 29, 2020, acquired a gold certification from the RIAA on August 25, 2022 after selling more than 500,000 copies in the US.
This is the first time an entire African album has received RIAA certification, despite the fact that several African singles have already done so.
