Singer Teni Apata has sparked reactions over her subtle disrespectful act to the president of the country, Muhammadu Buhari at an event on Tuesday.
The president had presented Teni with the title of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) at the 2022 National Honours Award Investiture that was held at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
In the viral Update, Teni had walked away after getting the medal leaving a shocked president on the scene.
Reactions on social media stated that the singer should have taken a handshake from the president before walking away.
Some claimed she disrespected the whole nation with the act. Others stated that the honourary title be taken away from her.

If I was Teni, once I reached that stage and collected the award, I would kneek down immediately and clean Buhari’s shoes.
