Traumatised Megan Thee Stallion Speaks On Being Shot In The Foot By ‘Tory Lanez’

Megan Thee Stallion has spoken out after being shot, saying she is ‘traumatised’.

The 25-year-old rapper confirmed this week that she had go undergo surgery after being shot in the foot following a Hollywood Hills party she attended with Tory Lanez and Kylie Jenner.

And as she recovered, the Savage hitmaker called out people making jokes about the situation. Megan – full name Megan Jovon Ruth Peter – tweeted: ‘Black women are so unprotected & we hold so many things in to protect the feelings of others w/o considering our own. It might be funny to y’all on the internet and just another messy topic for you to talk about but this is my real life and I’m real life hurt and traumatized.’

While most of Megan’s followers supported her, others replied to the tweet with memes about the shooting and accused her of ‘putting herself in unsafe situations’.

On Wednesday, the Hot Girl Summer rapper wrote on Instagram: ‘On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me. I was never arrested, the police officers drove me to the hospital where I underwent surgery to remove the bullets.

‘I’m incredibly grateful to be alive and that I’m expected to make a full recovery, but it was important to me to clarify the details about this traumatic night. I’m currently focused on my recovery, so I can return back to my life and back to making music as soon as possible.’

It has since been alleged that Tory Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, was the person who shot Megan. Police were called with reports of ‘shots fired’ outside a Hollywood Hills home at around 4.30am. Police arrested Tory, 27, on Sunday morning for carrying a concealed weapon. He posted $35,000 (£27,900) bail and was released and is due to appear in court on 13 October.
