EPL: Chelsea’s rival eyeing Ziyech loan deal

Chelsea winger, Hakim Ziyech, has emerged as a surprise loan target for Premier League side Everton this January transfer window, according to Sami Mokbel of The Daily Mail.

Ziyech joined Chelsea in a €40 million deal from Ajax in the summer of 2020.

However, his move to Stamford Bridge has not gone according to plan. Ziyech has so far struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Chelsea.

Ziyech’s contract with the Blues will expire in 2025, but there are doubts about his future.

There have been claims that he is among a host of players who could be offloaded at the end of the current season.

The Morocco international, though, seemingly has options to secure a move away from the London giants during the ongoing winter transfer window.

But according to the aforementioned source, the 29-year-old has emerged as a shock target for Everton, who are among the clubs interested in acquiring Ziyech on loan.

The Toffees could sign him on a temporary deal before making the move permanent later.

“Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech is interesting Everton, among other clubs, on an initial loan. More on @MailSport,” Mokbel tweeted on Sunday.
