Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema has made history as the first Nigerian artiste to grace the stage at the prestigious Ballon d’Or ceremony.
The award ceremony took place on Monday, 30th October in Paris, France, and football legend, Messi took home the prestigious award.
The Afrobeat singer captured all the attention with his electrifying performance, delighting the audience with a mesmerizing rendition of his hit track, ‘Calm Down’.
His appearance at the Ballon D’or also marked a momentous triumph for Afrobeats music in Africa.
