BBNaija All Stars was housemates who didn’t utilize their first chances – Tacha spills

Reality TV star, Anita Natacha Akide better known as Tacha has disclosed why she didn’t participate in Big Brother Naija Season 8 edition themed ‘All Stars’.

In a recent interview with ‘The Will Downtown Magazine’, Tacha stated that the ‘All Stars’ edition of BBNaija was former housemates who probably didn’t utilise their first chances while noting that she didn’t fit into that category.

She further disclosed that she receives consistent brand deals and finds joy in hosting her Big Friday show on Cool FM. She emphasized her reluctance to give up these opportunities to participate in All Stars edition, where she would only be paid a small amount.

She said,

“Some specific deliverables and obligations must come through for me, plus I am constantly getting back-to-back bookings from brands. To leave all of this and then go on a show where I’m going to get paid peanuts isn’t worth it.

“I’m enjoying my work at Cool FM every Friday, and I won’t leave my fans hanging. In my opinion, the show is really for, let’s say, people who probably do not utilise their first chances, and honestly, to just be fair, I do not fall into that category.”

GlamSquad recalls that Tacha was disqualified from Big Brother Naija Season 4 themed ‘Pepper Dem’ in 2019.

It is worth noting that Tacha has been able to build a brand for herself while she stresses that she is a ‘serial entrepreneur’.

Netizens have taken to comment sections to slam Tacha for always talking about the Big Brother Naija show.

22-year-old Ilebaye Odiniya fondly called Gen Z Baddie won the Big Brother Naija All Stars season.

She won a whopping sum of 120 million Naira prize money, a car amongst other prizes.

Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello launches bid to replace Ganduje as APC national chairman

Latest entertainment gist

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has reportedly initiated a strategic move to replace Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The development follows simmering discontent among key APC figures in the North Central zone, where Ganduje’s predecessor, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, hails from.

Ganduje, who assumed the position after the removal of Senator Adamu amid internal party strife, now faces opposition from stakeholders who argue that the party’s constitution dictates that Adamu’s replacement should have emerged from the North Central zone.

Sources within the APC have disclosed that Governor Bello, whose eight-year tenure in Kogi State is nearing its end, is positioning himself as a viable successor to Ganduje.

The move is seen as a response to the dissatisfaction with Ganduje’s leadership, with critics pointing to perceived imbalances in appointments favouring the North West zone.

Jackson Lekan Ojo, a notable party chieftain, confirmed the internal discord while speaking to Daily Trust.

His words:

“It is very true. If the public sees it as a rumour, it is no longer a rumour. There are heavy moves to oust Ganduje. The appointments were lopsided. The North West, where Ganduje comes from, got the two ministers of defence.

That same zone got the deputy senate president. The same zone got the speaker of the House of Representatives. It equally got the national chairman of the party.

“Ab initio, there were a lot of controversies. A lot of persons and personalities, principalities and powers in the APC, Ganduje was not their choice candidate. Ganduje, was like, imposed by Mr. President because of the political relationship between them.

Mr. President himself should be able to sacrifice Ganduje now, if he is to become a stumbling block to him in 2027.

“Ganduje has no capacity to resist this. Right from the beginning, he was imposed by Mr. President, and an imposition that does not carry a lot of people along will not last. Abdullahi Adamu was imposed by the former president. Did he last? Omisore was imposed. Did he last? So let’s SEE out.”

Another source, who pleaded anonymity, said, “The game plan is to force Ganduje out of office before the next general elections. Plans are already on to force him out. Nothing is impossible in politics. You can’t rule this out.”

Dockaysworld gathered that before now, there were rumours that Governor Bello was planning to transition into the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, but a new monarch in the town has already emerged.

Arsenal set for Huge boost in desperate times

Latest entertainment gist

Arsenal are set to receive a huge boost ahead of the second half of the 2023/24 season with the return of Thomas Partey in line for late January.

The Ghanaian international, who has faced persistent injury challenges since his arrival in England, suffered a groin problem at the start of the current season.

Despite briefly returning to action in October, Partey encountered another setback with a long-term muscular injury. This unfortunate development led to his exclusion from Ghana’s final squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

However, recent reports from The Mirror indicate that the 30-year-old midfielder has displayed significant progress during his rehabilitation.

If all goes well, Thomas Partey could rejoin the Arsenal first team in time for their crucial Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest on January 30.

This comes as a needed boost for the Gunners who currently find themselves in a challenging position in the league and are now out of England’s cup competitions this season, following a 0-2 defeat to Liverpool last weekend in the FA Cup and a series of defeats in the premier league and Carabao Cup to either take them out of the competition or stall their title charge.

With the arrival of Thomas Partey, Arsenal seem on course to have a real asset that could improve on their season form, particularly in midfield.
