Prior to their big fight, talented Nollywood actresses, Stephnie Okere Linus and Genevieve Nnaji were the best of friends.
However, they were reportedly involved in a fracas and it was because of a man. Per what we gathered, the fight started when Stephanie discovered that Genevieve had gone the extra mile with a man she (Stephanie) linked Genevieve to at the presidency in 2011.
The name of the man was revealed to be Presidential Adviser on Strategy and Documentation, Oronto Douglas with whom, according to reports, Genevieve and Stephanie had regular interactions with at the Eko Hotel.
Again, it revealed that Genevieve then started having some private meetings with Oronto and other presidential aides at Raddison Blu Hotel, Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island, Lagos without Stephanie knowing anything about it.
And after discovering this, the war between two of Nollywood’s talented actresses begun. An insider gave a gist saying;
“The cold war between them is more about who has the ears of the Presidential aides most especially Oronto Douglas who appears to be enjoying the company of Genevieve these days better than Stephanie. Every other weekend at Raddison Blu Hotel, Genevieve is with Oronto and other girls at the presidential suites. Stephanie is feeling being left out and she is not taking it lightly because she was the one who brought Genevieve into the presidency’s setting.
You need to know what they do with these girls all in the name of seeking for fame and money. It also tells you the kind of people that are around our President and ruling this country. You have set of morally corrupt people whose stock in trade is to gallivant with ladies of easy virtues and your so-called celebrities are their plaything.”
Apparently, Stephanie moved on as she got married a year later to Linus Idahosa in Paris, France with Genevieve yet to get married.
They have been seen having some nice time in recent times to prove that they are still best friends.
