Oderhwo Joseph Efe, popularly known as Carter Efe, a skit maker and artist, has disclosed that Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade aka Asake, was forced off the stage during his concert at the O2 Arena in London last year.
Carter Efe made this revelation in an episode of the Spill With Phyna Podcast, while discussing the unjust treatment that Nigerian creatives face from Western music executives and show promoters.
According to him, the management of O2 Arena turned off the lights during Asake’s performance, which led to the singer being chased off the stage. Carter Efe expressed his displeasure at the way Nigerian creatives are treated by Westerners, even though they still go back to them. He emphasized that the incident was not a lie.

BBNaija’s Phyna, the host, proposed that Nigerian artists should come together and organize concerts for fans in the country in places like Tafawa Balewa Square(TBS). However, Carter Efe rejected her suggestion, stating that Nigeria lacks the necessary facilities to host such significant events.
