Abayomi Sogunle, a former Head of the Police Public Complaint Rapid Response Unit, has been recommended for demotion from Assistant Commission of Police to Chief Superintendent of Police. It was also gathered Dolapo Badmus, a former Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, was also demoted.

One Mr Emmanuel Iloabuchi Iloanya, has narrated how his son Mr Chijioke Iloanya was killed by the Officer in Charge of Awkuzu Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), Mr. James O. Nwafor and his men, without getting justice. In a telephone interview today, Mr Iloanya recounted how his son was arrested and gruesomely killed in cold blood by one Mr Jame O. Nwafor, now a retired police officer who was attached to Awkuzu.

The Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola on Saturday, escaped an attack by thugs which happened while he was addressing #EndSARS protesters in Osogbo, the state capital. Some of the vehicles in the Governor’s convoy were also destroyed by the thugs but the Governor himself was evacuated to safety by his security team.

President Donald Trump has said he may leave the United States if he loses in the upcoming presidential election. Trump, Republican candidate, would contest against Joe Biden, former vice-president of the country and Democratic candidate on November 3.

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State on Saturday visited the three offices of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS. Obiano visited offices which are located in Ekwulobia, Neni and Awkuzu.

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has named an 11-man panel to investigate allegations of rights violations and extra-judicial killings by men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). Names of panel members were disclosed in a statement by NHRC’s spokesperson, Fatimah Agwai Mohammed.

Attempts by thugs to attack #EndSARS protesters today again were foiled by protesters who came prepared. Some of the protesters in Abuja arrived at the protest location with fierce dogs and this reportedly deterred thugs who tried to attack them today.

Igri Nna Nkanu, a popular traffic warden in Calabar was yesterday celebrated by #EndSARS protesters in Calabar for his hard work and dedication to duty. It was learnt that yesterday, when protesters reached his post, they surrounded him, carried him shoulder high and cheered him on for doing a good job.
