The father of Africa’s finest rapper, Sarkodie- Mr. Augustine Addo has revealed the reason why he named his iconic son ‘Michael’ in an interview moments before the Rapperholic Concert.
The ‘old boy’ said he was a great fan of the biggest pop star of all time- Michael Jackson which is why he named his son Michael Owusu Addo but had no idea he was also going to be a great musician.
“As you know, he is called Michael Owusu Addo. I was a very big fan of Michael Jackson so that’s how come I named him Michael. I didn’t know he was going to be great in music as he is now,” he told the host.
He further added;
“When he started, I actually asked him and he said it was just like a hobby but I realized he went on with it, and nowhere he is. I am very happy and I pray he does even better.”
