The four men were arrested following a raid on a shrine in Ijebu Ode, according to the Ogun State Police Command.

They were for allegedly defrauding one of the N1.3 million Imoleayo Ashade.

A box containing different denominations of fake currencies, charms, and N1,310,000 fraudulently collected from Ashade was also recovered by the order.

Suspects Taiwo, Ifakunle Adeyemi, Tajudeen Jimoh and Adebayo Akeem have been arrested since January 18 of this year from their hideout in the Ijagun region of Ijebu.

Police Commissioner CP Edward Ajogun, who led reporters to Ijebu, where the shrine is located, suggested that the arrest was carried out by the Awa-Ijebu Police Division with the help of the OPC and local vigilantes.

Imole Asade, the survivor, said the journey took her a week and several months, adding that she once supported two men in her family home with lodging, but was drawn to the hideout where they agreed to return the favor by supplying her with spiritual financial assistance.

On his side, AIG Olushola Subair, the special adviser to the State Governor on Security (Rtd), who also accompanied the CP to the hideout, claimed that the fraudsters were going to be dealt with under the law.
