Tragedy As 4 Ceramic Company Staff Die In Fatal Crash In Kogi

The Victims Four employees of the BN Ceramics Company in Ajaokuta, Kogi State, were killed in a fatal accident. A bus and a Toyota saloon car were involved in the accident that occurred at about 10.00 am on Wednesday, January 27. The crash took place when the driver of the bus overtook another vehicle in a sharp curve, according to an eye witness.

Mr. Solomon Agure, the Kogi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), who confirmed the accident, claimed that nine employees of the company were in the car. He added that when the accident happened, the workers worked overnight and went back to their respective homes after closing.
The wounded were rushed for medical attention at the hospital. Meanwhile, in a statement signed by Salihu Mohammed, the Human Resources Chief, the management of BN Ceramics sympathized with the families of its workers who were involved in the car accident. “The management is making frenzied efforts to rescue and collect the medical bills of those injured,” he said.
“The management is calling for calm among the employees, praying to God to give the deceased eternal rest and the strength to bear the loss to their families.
