Amotekun corps arrest 80 suspected foreigners in Oyo StateĀ 

General Ajibola Togun (retired), chairman of the Amotekun Corps in Oyo State, confirmed on Monday the arrest of 80 men suspected of being foreigners in a truck coming from the northern part of the country.

In the Iwo road area of Ibadan, the arrest was carried out, with the suspects said to be armed with bows and arrows.

Gen Togun (Rtd), who said the men were handed over to the Nigerian police, also expressed doubts about the true identity of the men who claimed to be herders of the Fulani, who had nothing to do with the nation.

The retired general who spoke on the phone with ait.live accused the police of being diligent in their investigation, as the menā€™s true identity will save the country from our problem of insecurity.

He said that, under the guise of Fulani herders, many foreigners had entered the country but with sinister motives beyond imagination.

Before their interception in Ibadan Oyo State, South West Nigeria, the suspects had claimed to be heading to Ogun and Lagos states.
