African Democratic Congress (ADC) has suspended the former National Vice Chairman, North-East, Ibrahim Manzo and 17 State chairmen for alleged anti-party activities and utterances the party said were aimed at bringing the ADC to disrepute.

In a statement by the party’s National Chairman, Ralph Nwosu and National Secretary, Said Abdullahi, said the officials of the party have violated the guiding principles and rules governing the party

He added that the party would soon announce the replacement for the suspended officials, adding that the party also appointed Dr Mani Ahmed, a presidential aspirant in 2015, as Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT).

It appealed to all ADC executives at the ward, local government and state levels to continue structuring the party at the grassroots for the campaign take-off.

The ADC also encouraged all the remaining party executives, not to be distracted by others as it works toward the 2023 general elections
