1- PETER OBI : Lawsuit filed to stop Obidients rally in Lagos

The organisers of the planned Obidients Lagos rally have been dragged to court .

Naija News NG reports that according to the 8th President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Barr. Abdul Mahmud the lawsuit is being heard by Justice Osiagor of the federal high court in Lagos, Peter Obi, Labour Party and some influencers are defendants.

Mahmud tweeted;

“Suit to stop the planned Obidient rally in Lagos is being heard by Justice Osiagor, Fed High Court, Lagos. Obi, LP and some influencers are defendants. Plaintiffs’ SAN moved his application but was asked by the Court to put the defendants on notice. Adjourned to 23-09-22?

2- Kito Manuel The Gay Men Hunter And Killer Arrested In Lagos 

A Nigerian man repeatedly accused of hunting for gay men has been arrested for killing a man he claimed asked him for a homosexual relationship.

Prior to being nabbed, a Pro-LGBTQ platform had shared a Facebook post about the suspect identified as Emmanuel Nwonah, warning gay people in Nigeria to be careful. It was alleged that he operates in Ajah with some group of straight guys.

Few months after the post in May went viral, Emmanuel has now been arrested for allegedly killing one David.

In one of the videos shared online, he was seen apologizing to members of the LGBTQ community. Before being taken away for murder, a security operative was heard in one of the videos saying he shouldn’t have taken laws into his hands.

The security operative said he should have reported his claim for it to be investigated.

3- IPoB Members Freed After 2 Years In Detention

Three IPoB members freed by the Federal Government of Nigeria after over 2 years in detention.

Three persons suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPoB, have been released after spending two and half years at 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Ohafia, Abia State.

This was disclosed by the Amnesty International Nigeria on Thursday. The rights organization that believes in freedom, justice and equality also appealed to Nigerian authorities to provide information about the status of other victims of enforced disappearance.

Its words: “Amnesty International welcomes the release today 14 September 2022, of Sunday Nwafor, 59 years, Uzonwanne Ejiofor 48 years, and Wilfred Dike, 36 years, who were arrested by officers of the Nigerian Army on 27 February 2020 at Imo River community in Abia state.

“They were held at 14 Brigade Nigerian Army Ohafia, Abia State for well over two and half years. Their release follows Amnesty International’s campaign and call for their freedom, including, as recently as two weeks ago.

“Amnesty International urges Nigerian authorities to provide information about the status of other victims of enforced disappearance and incommunicado detention, grant their families and lawyers access to them, charge them to court, or release them from detention.”

4- Hope Uzodinma and friends filed a lawsuit to restrain INEC from using BVAS and online transmission of election results

Hope Uzodinma and his cronies went to court praying that BVAS is unconstitutional and illegal and also to get a restraining order to stop INEC from transmitting election results online.

Naija News NG reported that CUPP Spokesman, Ikenga Imo in press conference alleged that INEC had uploaded fake voters .

Court papers reveals that the Plaintiff is seeking the following : 

A DECLARATION that it is unconstitutional, illegal and unlawful for the Defendants to use or deploy the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) or any other similar device, equipment, instrument or gadget of such or same nature for the acereditation of registered voters in the 2023 General Elections.
li. A DECLARATION that it is illegal and unlawful for the Defendants to electronically transmit, feed or collate the results of elections at the 2023 General Elections.
iii. A DECLARATION that in view of the unassailable fact of unavailability and inaccessibility of telecommunication network coverage across substantial part of Nigeria, it is untenable, unreasonable and utterly impracticable for the Defendants to use or deploy the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) or any other similar devise, equipment, instrument, device or gadget of such or same nature, for the accreditation of registered voters in the 2023 General Elections.
V. AN ORDER of injunction restraining the Defendants, whether by themselves, staff, officers, privies or howsoever described from using or deploying the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) or any other similar device, equipment, instrument or gadget of such or same nature for the accreditation of registered voters in the 2023 General Elections.

A year after my divorce she got married and sent me Whatsap photos of her wedding and I went and unblocked her again to see the full wedding events on her wall then re blocked her though I responded to her by congratulating her and only kept WhatsApp chat with her to birthday messages once a year.

INEC accused of registering fake voters with Zimbabwean names

This online platform reported yesterday that INEC , the Independent Electoral Commission of Nigeria has been accused of registering fake voters.

Naija News NG gathered that Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere the spokesperson of CUPP alleged that the electoral body has padded the number of voters in Omuma ward in Orlu, Imo State and other states governed by the APC with people who bear Zimbabwean names .

Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere alleged that the ward is Governor Hope Uzodimma’s ward .

He added that the ward had 6000 registered voters but now has 46,000 .

7- AMAPIANO SUCCESS CREDIT : You Never Liked Me – Davido To DJ Maphorisa

Davido has smacked his South African colleaque DJ Maphorisa for not giving him credit for driving the Amapiano sound in Nigeria.

Naija News NG understands that Davido did not find it cool that DJ Maphorisa gave the credit to Wizkid and Burna Boy and excluded his name.

Davido responding to his tweet, said DJ Maphorisa never liked him even though he has been good to him .

The drama began after Wizkid released his latest single, “Bad to Me,” which infused the popular South African sound, “Amapiano.”

A lady on Twitter said Davido was the one who introduced Amapiano to Nigerian music scene two years no Wizkid is now riding on the success Davido’s effort made.

“Davido brought Amapiano from South Africa two years ago and made it a successful genre in Africa and Beyond, Wizkid is now hopping on the same genre after Davido made it a successful genre. This is how many African artists have been benefiting from Davido’s success for over 12yrs”, she tweeted.

DJ Maphorisa reacted to her tweet and said Wizkid and Burna Boy were the first Nigerian artists to jump on the South African sound.

He wrote, “Kabza & Maphorisa was the first to put Wizkid n Burnaboy on an Amapiano song Sponono that was a historical moment 3 years ago, research before the tweet, also, it was the first time Wiz n Burna jumped on the same song together, let it sink in ? ??”
