BBNaija Star Phyna Issues Public Apology for False Accusation Against Pepsi – Lifestyle Nigeria

Reality TV star Phyna has tendered a public apology for mistakenly accusing popular soft drink brand Pepsi of sending her expired drinks. The apology comes after Phyna had earlier taken to social media to show off crates of Pepsi drinks she received, claiming they were expired.

In a now deleted post, Phyna wrote;

“What have I done to deserve this?. I was sent expired Pepsi”

However, in a surprising turn of events, Phyna revealed that the error was on her end, not the company’s. She explained that her team had misunderstood the taste and had to check the expiration date, leading to the false accusation.

In a social media post, Phyna wrote: “For the post earlier, it was an honest mistake from our end. We couldn’t comprehend the taste, so we had to look into the expiring date. Apologies!”

See her post below;

This apology comes amidst Phyna’s ongoing dispute with some organizers of the popular BBNaija show, who she accuses of withholding her full prizes. Despite this, Pepsi had fulfilled their promise by sending her crates of drinks, which Phyna initially misinterpreted as expired.

The suit is a sequel to SERAP’s demand which was addressed to the 37 respondents in a statement issued by the organisation’s Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare on March 31, 2024.

In the statement, SERAP urged the court to “direct and compel the governors and Mr. Wike to invite the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission to investigate the spending of all the loans obtained to date by their states and the FCT.”

SERAP is arguing that “it is in the public interest to grant the reliefs sought. Nigerians have the right to see and scrutinise the loan agreements and know the details of how the domestic and external loans obtained by the governors and FCT minister are spent.

Mohbad’s PA, Interrogated by Police Over Late Singer’s Embalment – Lifestyle Nigeria

The Nigeria Police Force has interrogated Darosha, the personal assistant to the late singer Mohbad, over the controversial embalment of the deceased.

According to Punch Newspapers, Darosha was invited to the Zone 2 Command headquarters on Thursday, where he was questioned in the presence of Mohbad’s parents.

The police investigation is in response to a petition filed by Emmanuel Oroko of Hillceetee Partners on behalf of Mohbad’s father. The petition alleges that Mohbad’s body was embalmed without authorization from his family or a death certificate from a medical practitioner.

During the interrogation, Darosha named those present when the deceased was embalmed, and the police have invited them for further questioning. The embalment was said to have violated the Coroner’s System Law 2007, which prohibits tampering with a dead body without proper authorization.

Mohbad’s father had earlier alleged that his son’s body was already embalmed and placed by the staircase when he arrived at the deceased’s home on the day of his death. He has called on the police to intensify their investigation to unravel the cause of his son’s death.

The police investigation is ongoing, and those mentioned in Darosha’s statement are expected to appear before the investigation panel to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death and embalmment.
