BLACKPINK have opened their world tour in Seoul where bandmember Jennie treated fans to a performance of an unreleased solo song – see footage, setlist and more below.

The K-pop band kicked off their tour, which is in promotion of their second album ‘Born Pink’, on Saturday (October 15) at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena in South Korea. BLACKPINK play another show at the venue today (October 16) before heading to North America for a series of concerts.

Bandmembers Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa will then visit Europe to finish off 2022. The group are also scheduled to play Australia, Singapore and Thailand in 2023.

It is, according to their record label YG Entertainment, “the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group”.

BLACKPINK played their 23-song set, which included much from their new album as well as some of the bandmembers’ solo work, to fans who were able to hear some live debuts. These included ‘Born Pink’ tracks ‘Typa Girl’ and ‘Yeah Yeah Yeah’ as well as Rosé’s solo song ‘Hard To Love’.

Additionally, Jennie played unreleased solo track ‘Moonlight’. You can see footage of that performance alongside other clips below.

Last month BLACKPINK became the first female K-pop act to debut at Number One on the Billboard 200 chart.

On September 25, Billboard revealed that the quartet’s second studio album ‘Born Pink’ had debuted at the top of its weekly Billboard 200 albums chart for the week ending September 22. This makes BLACKPINK the first female K-pop act ever, as well as the first all-female group since 2008, to do so.

Meanwhile, the group have also become the first K-pop act to receive a nomination for Best Update at next month’s MTV Europe Music Awards.

Ace Nigerian musician Stanley Omah Didia popularly known as Omah Lay has called out his colleagues who have been bickering for the last few days.

The singer took to his Instagram stories to warn that their next songs better be really good following all the noise they had made.

Omah said that everyone going at themselves was funny to him and reiterated the need to bring out good quality music after it all.

This coming following numerous clashes involving Wizkid versus Don Jazzy and Davido which came with trolling and insults. Kizz Daniel and Tekno also had a row on Twitter over music royalties. There have also been other side battles.

Liverpool go Rome ahead of 2024/25 season

Other first team figures seen modeling the new home kit are Alexis Mac Alister, Alisson Becker, Dominik Szoboszlai, Cody Gakpo, Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones and Joe Gomez (also rumored to be eyeing an exit).

Missing figures from the new home kit release however are those who currently are on the sidelines thanks to fitness issues, such as Diogo Jota, Conor Bradley, Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara, Adrian san Miguel and their academy graduates; Jarrell Quansah, Stefan Bajcetic and the likes.

Out from the names, Joel Matip, Thiago Alcantara and goalie Adrian san Miguel are figures doubtful of remaining at the club next season.

Popular Nigerian music artist, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy has announced that his upcoming concert in Amsterdam has been canceled.

In an Instagram story, Burna Boy revealed that his highly anticipated show at Johan Cruyff Arena on June 9, 2024, has been canceled due to the failure of the event organizers to fulfill their contractual obligations.

Burna Boy expressed his regrets to fans and assured them that those who purchased tickets would be fully refunded within 30 days.
