Tribal mark model and traditionalist Adetutu OJ has opened up on being a traditionalist, revealing how she has tried a while back to be a Christian but it didn’t work for her.
In a bare it all session with KOKO TV on our premiere show KOKO Talks, Adetutu Oluwabusolami Josephine noted that she was born and bred a traditionalist, her father being an Ifa worshipper and mother, an Osun worshipper.\"\"“I was born into an Ifa practitoner family, my dad was an Ifa Practitioner and my mum, an Osun practitioner so it’s something I can’t deny. That’s why I flaunt it. I have tried being a Christian and it doesn’t work for me. I see that they (Christians) delve into things that we do in the traditionalist community, so what is the point? That is why I flaunt my practice as much as possible, tell young people to do research about their African roots and history”, she said.

Beautifying the religion, Adetutu OJ said, “Being a traditionalist is not evil, forget about what Nollywood has taught you from childhood. Nollywood people are practising so much African things. I won’t call it jazz but they know what they are doing. They are just following the White man’s religion to whitewash people that do not want to learn. Being an African traditionalist is the best thing I’ve ever known, It doesn’t mean it will be sweet all through but at least you get to know this is how things are done, this is how things should be done.”
