Court orders paternity test for Nollywood actress Ronke Odusanya’s daughter

A Lagos State Magistrates Court has ordered that a DNA paternity test be performed on the daughter of Ronke Odusanya, a Yoruba actress, after her separation from her estranged husband, Olanrewaju Saheed.

Premium Times records that on Wednesday, when the case was brought before her at Court 8, Samuel Ilori Court House, Ogba, Ikeja Magisterial District, Lagos, Magistrate M.O. Tanimola gave the order.

In 2020, the actress and her estranged husband, Olanrewaju Saheed, widely recognised as Jago, welcomed their daughter. For many factors, including the wellbeing of their daughter, Oluwafifehanmi, the pair are currently in custody.

It was stated that Saheed asked the court, through his counsel, to order a DNA test to determine the child’s paternity on the basis of suspicion of infidelity when the matter came up in court on Wednesday.

On the condition that the DNA fees and other bills be footed by Saheed, the actress and her lawyer reportedly agreed to the appeal.

The counsel of the actress also pleaded with the court to make sure that it was a DNA test monitored by the court.

Ms. Tanimola, ruling, agreed for the test to be carried out and for the findings to be submitted directly to the court at an unidentified hospital on Lagos Island.

She adjourned the case for a further hearing until March 31.

In December 2020, news of their messy breakup controversy first appeared online. It was alleged at the time that the actress ” destroyed her child’s father financially by making him sell his assets to satisfy her lavish wishes.’

The Yoruba actress, reacting to the accusations, said the rumours were “irritating and fact-less information.”

She also slammed the report that she financially ruined her child’s father, saying “bank statements can reveal who has been receiving money from who and for what.”

I will be calm because the truth always reveals itself while my silence will be taken for cowardice. I can defend myself, but I won’t want my daughter to grow up reading such irritating and fact-less information. The social media court has always been myopic and manipulative.

Remember that you didn’t make me, you can’t break me. Bank statements can reveal who received money from who and for what. Before publishing, investigate. Seeds sown will certainly germinate for the platform used to peddle such absurdity,” she said.”
