DJ Cuppy, a rich heiress and Nigerian disc jockey, claims that many Nigerian men are solely interested in dating her as a result of her father.
This claim was made by Cuppy, the daughter of Femi Otedola, a business magnate from Nigeria, in a recent podcast where she also discussed her love life.
Recall that Cuppy has frequently declared her single status on social media.
The 29-year-old stated she would be content if she met a man who genuinely loved her for who she is and not because of her father’s position while chatting on the podcast.
Cuppy says she wants to be with a man who loves her and is genuinely delighted to be with her, that he sees her father as a “by-product,” after recalling her experiences with men who left her astonished at their desperation to meet her father.
“Back home, I feel like a lot of guys want my dad instead of me. When I tell a guy that I am from Nigeria—and I have met males in the UK—he asks me what village I’m from. And it gives me the impression that the person is not actually Nigerian.
They simply adore my father. I recently met a guy, and he immediately asked me, “So when am I going?”
