Group seeks help to locate family of 8-year-old child trafficked to Cross River from Imo state

An 8-year-old boy identified as Believe-In-God Mandu Chinedu, who was trafficked to Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State from Imo State, wants to reunite with his parents. 

 

The child was rescued in May 2022, and currently taking shelter with a non-profit organization, Basic Rights Counsel Initiative, BRCI, in Calabar. 

 

According to the boy, his mother’s name is Miriam. 

 

Anyone with useful information on how to locate his family should please contact the NGO or call the Cross River State Commissioner of Police or BRCI.
