The herdsman later took the cattle back to his settlement, fell ill and died while taking treatment from his parents.

This was said to have angered the herdsmen, who began to attack the communities, leading to the death of 12 people.

A source, while lamenting the incident, said surviving residents of the communities were seeking refuge in other parts of the state for fear of being killed by the bandits.

“As I speak to you, 11 corpses are in the mortuary at the General Hospital, Garaku. One was also discovered today, and some are nowhere to be found. This is because when they invaded our village and started shooting sporadically, many people ran helter-skelter with bullet wounds,” Punch quoted the source as saying.

Accept that selfish people have no regard for others

They can have moments of generosity and charm, but for the most part, they simply lack the skill or willingness to be thoughtful and considerate. This knowledge will give you a clear understanding of where you stand in the relationship.

Give yourself the attention you deserve

Selfish people according to findings are emotional pirates. They crave for your attention, but don’t give you any. Therefore, ignoring your needs to pour attention and energy into a self-absorbed person isn’t virtuous. It only sets you up for being emotionally drained and hurt.

Don’t stoop to their level

It’s difficult to be kind to a self-centered person who is brutish or unkind to you, but becoming like them doesn’t help things. Resolve to continue being that considerate and loving person that you know you are.

Umahi Flags Off Demolition Of Landmark Beach For Coastal Highway Project – Lifestyle Nigeria

The Minister of Works, Sen. Dave Umahi, on Saturday in Lagos, flagged off the demolition of a section of the Landmark Beach, the Mami Chula Beach Lifestyle, to give way to the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway

Umahi began the demolition after he inspected kilometres 13, 16 and 20 to ensure the most economical and viable way to access the coastal roads without much damage.

He noted that the demolition was necessary since the landmark centre was located on Federal Government’s Right-of-way.

He stressed that a number of structures would be affected by the demolition, adding that compensation would be provided.

Umahi said, “So with the utmost fear of God, gratitude to God Almighty and the commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in our infrastructural development agenda in particular, I wish to flag off this demolition.

”It’s in a right-of-way within the coastal corridor which is legitimate right of way of the Federal Government.

“Before the flag off of the demolition of landmark, I graciously increased the grace period by another seven days and yet another four days and here we are because the project stopped because of lack of demolition.

“And I want to commend the likes of Bolaji, incidentally from kilometre zero to four from what I’m seeing, he is the only one that is majorly affected. That’s the only infrastructure I can see that is affected.”
