How to Generate Leads When You Have Little to No Traffic 2020

When you have a website that generates thousands and thousands of visitors a month, it’s easy to generate leads. What happens if you have little to no traffic to your website? How do you generate leads?

Hi everyone, I’m MacDan and today I want to teach you how to generate leads when you have little to no traffic.

When you have a website that’s just starting off, it can be tough to figure out how to get traffic to your website. Most of the time, just creatin a site won’t get you traffic.

You need to make sure that every page of your site has clear search intent and is optimized for SEO (search engine optimization).

However, even optimizing for SEO won’t always get you the traffic you want. So here’s some strategies on how to gain more leads with little traffic.

#1 – Create Lead Magnets And Promote Them.

I know that you’re starting off in business, you may not have a ton of money to use for promotion. However, it is important to create some brand awareness through promotion. It’ll pay off in the long run if you’re doing this strategically.

By investing in a lead magnet, by building solid content and awareness while also creating an email list, this will allow you to begin another successful form of marketing, which is email marketing.

And what ends up happening is by getting people on your email list, you can continually remarket to them, build that trust and generate sales.

According to HubSpot, 99% of consumers check their email every day. And 59% of marketers say email is the biggest source of ROI.

So there are a few types of lead magnet that you can create. An ebook, quizzes or polls, infographic, webinars, demos, contests, free trials, special offers, literally the list is never-ending.

If you think it provides value to a user, then great, you’re doing well.

Now you can promote these lead magnets in a few ways. You can use Goole Adwords to promote them, Facebook ads, LinkedIn ads, you can also just share them on your social profiles, and that’ll also get you some love, and get you some leads if you don’t have any money to spend.

#2 – Link Your Lead Magnets And Your Content.

Creating content is your site is a must in today’s digital marketing landscape. However, the goal of your content isn’t just to get people to read your site. It’s also to collect leads and generate sales.

So why not link to your lead magnet within your content at the top, within your article and at the end of your article? Have a call to action in your blog posts.

Most people don’t do this and this is a freeway to gain leads as long as your content is very valuable and you’re following basic SEO guidelines.

See the key is that lead magnet needs to be related to that piece of content that you just wrote. If it’s not, it won’t do well.

Remember, 96% of website visitors aren’t ready to buy but they may be willing to provide you their contact information after having read some of your content.

#3 – Use Strong Verbs And Write Powerful Headlines To Attract Attention.

If you want to create a lasting impression in your writing, you have to draw attention with verbs. Your headlines should evoke curiosity, and persuade people to click.

For example, the seven benefits of green tea, number six will shock you (whoa, what’s number six?). You got to check out the article to know more.

If you can craft a great headline, you’ll not only generate targeted leads, but there’s a possibility that your search rankings will improve tremendously as well.

Because remember, eight out of ten people read a headline, but only two out of ten will click through and read the rest. So if your headline’s appealing and more people click it, it sends user signals to Google that you should be ranking higher, especially if more people are clicking on your listing versus the listing that’s ranking above you.

CityCliq tested four different versions of their webpage using different headlines, and they found that the one with the verb outperformed and generated a 90% increase in conversion rates. That’s the power of verbs.

Even ClickFlow which is a tool that helps you A/B test headlines found that having verbs in your headlines also generates more clicks.

#4 – Find Great Titles.

So you may be wondering how to find great titles. Well, an easy way to do this is type in whatever keyword or industry that you’re going after within Ubersugest.

when you do this, within the content ideas report, you’ll see a list of all the headlines that people are releasing out there. It ranks them based on social shares, backlinks and search traffics.

Typically, if a headline has all three of those things, it means that people like it. Not just Google but also people because people are linking to it from their site, which is backlinks. That’s referral traffic.

Social shares means that people are taking their time and sharing that article on the social web. And of course, estimated visits or share traffic means that Google loves it as well.

Now the last tip I have for you, if you’re looking to generate more leads and you barely have any traffic, I want you to do one really simple thing.

#5 – Use Ubersuggest

Go to Ubersuggest and type in your URL. Go to the site audit report. This breaks down all the SEO errors you have on your website as well as your page speed load time.

Fix the page speed load time issues, this is pulled directly from Google. And then as for the SEO errors, Ubersugeest breaks them down on the ones that has the biggest impact and they’re the easiest to perform.

So go after the SEO errors and finish them from top to bottom. It’s most important to try to do the ones at the top first because they will have the biggest impact versus the ones at the bottom won’t have as big of an impact.

When you do this what you’ll find get more traffic from Google over time which will increase your traffic and that will increase your leads.

Buhari Takes Strong Position After Supreme Court Judgment On Naira – Lifestyle Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari has broken his silence on the Supreme Court Judgement allowing the N500 and N1000 old notes to circulate side by side with the new naira notes till December 3 saying that he never instructed the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN helmsman, Governor Godwin Emefiele not to obey the orders.

Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President broke the silence of the presidency on Monday, saying that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has no reason not to comply with the Supreme Court Orders merely on the excuse that the president must issue a directive.

Shehu said, “The presidency wishes to react to some public concerns that President Muhammadu Buhari did not react to the Supreme Court judgement on the issue of the N500 and N1,000 old currency notes, and states here plainly and clearly that at no time did he instruct the Attorney General and the CBN Governor to disobey any court orders involving the government and other parties.”

“Following the ongoing intense debate about the compliance concerning the legality of the old currency notes, the Presidency therefore wishes to state clearly that President Buhari has not done anything knowingly and deliberately to interfere with or obstruct the administration of justice.

“The President is not a micromanager and will not, therefore, stop the Attorney General and the CBN Governor from performing the details of their duties in accordance with the law. In any case. It is debatable at this time if there is proof of willful denial by the two of them on the orders of the apex court.

“The directive of the President, following the meeting of the Council of State is that the Bank must make available for circulation all the money that is needed and nothing has happened to change the position.

“It is an established fact that the President is an absolute respecter of judicial process and the authority of the courts. He has done nothing in the last eight or so years to act in any way to obstruct the administration of justice, cause lack of confidence in the administration of justice, or otherwise interfere or corrupt the courts and there is no reason whatsoever that he should do so now when he is getting ready to leave office.

“The negative campaign and personalised attacks against the President by the opposition and all manner of commentators is unfair and unjust, as no court order at any level has been issued or directed at him.

“As for the cashless system the CBN is determined to put in place, it is a known fact that many of the country’s citizens who bear the brunt of the sufferings, surprisingly support the policy as they believe that the action would cut corruption, fight terrorism, build an environment of honesty and reinforce the incorruptible leadership of the President.

“President Buhari has also rejected the impression that he lacks compassion, saying that “no government in our recent history has introduced policies to help economically marginalised and vulnerable groups like the present administration,” the presidency said in declaring Buhari’s position on the Supreme Court judgment on the naira redesign policy of the CBN.

Isa Abdulmumin, CBN spokesperson, announced the development in a statement on Monday.

“In compliance with the established tradition of obedience to court orders and sustenance of the Rule of Law Principle that characterized the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, and by extension, the operations of the Central Bank of nigeria (CBN), as a regulator, Deposit Money Banks operating in nigeria have been directed to comply with the Supreme Court ruling of March 3, 2023.

“Accordingly, the CBN met with the Bankers’ Committee and has directed that the old N200, N500 and N1000 banknotes remain legal tender alongside the redesigned banknotes till December 31, 2023.

Consequently, all concerned are directed to conform accordingly.

Earlier, the Presidency had said the CBN had no reason not to comply with the ruling of the Supreme Court on the naira redesign policy.

It stated that President Muhammadu Buhari did not instruct the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to disobey “any court orders involving the government and other parties.”

These are contained in a press statement released by the President’s Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu.

The statement is a reaction to public concerns that Buhari has not reacted to the Supreme Court ruling of March 3 which ordered that the old N200, N500 and N1,000 notes should continue to circulate alongside their redesigned counterparts as legal tender until December 31, 2023.

Shehu said;

The Presidency wishes to react to some public concerns that President Muhammadu Buhari did not react to the Supreme Court judgement on the issue of the N500 and N1,000 old currency notes, and states here plainly and clearly that at no time did he instruct the Attorney General and the CBN Governor to disobey any court orders involving the government and other parties.

I Never Told Emefiele And AGF To Disobey Supreme Court Order On Naira

The Presidency has defended President Muhammadu Buhari on the naira crisis the nation is currently facing.

Lifestyle Nigeria reports that the Supreme Court had on March 3 reversed the policy on the redesign of the naira notes and extended the validity of old N200, N500, and N1000 till December 31.

The President and the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele had been quiet on the ruling, causing confusion among Nigerians following the continued rejection of the old naira notes by traders and other business owners in the country.

The Kogi and Ekiti States governments had last week threatened to prosecute individuals and businesses still rejecting the old banknotes in their states.

Similarly, Lagos State maintained that it is illegal to reject old naira notes.

However, in a statement issued on Monday evening, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Garba Shehu, said his principal did not instruct Emefiele, and the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, to disobey the Supreme Court order.

He stressed that the CBN had no reason to disobey the apex court’s ruling on the policy.

The statement read: “The Presidency wishes to react to some public concerns that President Muhammadu Buhari did not react to the Supreme Court judgement on the issue of the N500 and N1,000 old currency notes, and states here plainly and clearly that at no time did he instruct the Attorney-General of the Federation and the CBN Governor to disobey any court orders involving the government and other parties.

“The president had never directed anybody to defy court orders, in the strong belief that we can’t practise democracy without the rule of law and the commitment of his administration to this principle has not changed.

“The presidency, therefore, wishes to state clearly that President Buhari has not done anything knowingly and deliberately to interfere with or obstruct the administration of justice. The President is not a micromanager and will not, therefore, stop the Attorney General and the CBN Governor from performing the details of their duties in accordance with the law.

“President Buhari has been an absolute respecter of the judicial process and the authority of the courts since his assumption of office about eight years ago. The negative campaign and personalised attacks against the President by the opposition and all manner of commentators are unfair and unjust, as no court order at any level has been issued or directed at him.

“As for the cashless system the CBN is determined to put in place, it is a known fact that many of the country’s citizens who bear the brunt of the sufferings surprisingly support the policy as they believe that the action would cut corruption, fight terrorism, build an environment of honesty and reinforce the incorruptible leadership of the president.”
