Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has opened up on her marriage to Marketer, Kazim Adeoti.
In an interview with TVC on ‘Your View’, Mercy discloed that her affection for her husband played a pivotal role in her decision to embrace Islam. She expressed that love unexpectedly entered her life, and she cherished the deep bond they had cultivated as friends.
Mercy admitted to a gut feeling that Mr Adeoti was the perfect match for her. The mother of two acknowledged her romantic nature, emphasizing that few women have experienced the challenges she faced. When discussing her senior wife, she affirmed that there is ample love for her as well.
She said
“I love my husband, I love my husband so very much. I don’t think any woman would have gone through what I went through. It’s is love for did that for me. It is because of love I did what I did. I am such a lover girl, I love love.
I decided to change my religion because of the love I have for my husband. I am a 45 years old woman”.
Love came calling, I loved what we shared as friends, and I could feel it in my guts that this was the right person to be with.

In a surprising turn of events this year, the movie star converted to Islam after her marriage and adopted the Muslim name Hajia Minnah.
When discussing the significance of her name, Mercy disclosed that her husband, Kazim Adeoti, was the one who bestowed the name upon her, and it signifies “Mercy… Gift from Allah.”
In June, Mercy, accompanied by her husband Kazim Adeoti and Kemi Afolabi, went on a pilgrimage to Hajj to solidify her conversion to Islam. After the sacred journey, she was officially recognized as a Hajia.
