The founder of Household of God Church, Reverend Christopher Ognenebrorie Okotie, has stated that he would not be getting married again.
The clergyman stated that Jesus told him not to get married again.
He made this known in an interview with BBC Pidgin. According to him, he was told to be celibate but he didn’t take it fully understand till his later years.
He said God called him to be like the Biblical Apostle Paul.
When asked if he has intention of getting married again, he said, “I’m not getting married again.”
“I’m not getting married again because Jesus has already told me that one has ended.
“When I was saved, when I became born again, I was in the university at the time I did not understand the will of God for my life. I always said I wanted my own family and all that and I went and did what I wanted.”
His first marriage was to a woman, Tina. The marriage dissolved in 2001. He married Stephanie Henshaw in 2008, which lasted for four years.
