Joeboy reveals he is the last of 4 in a family of 6. His father used to play the organ and his older brother the guitar in the choir for a church. He was born and bred in Akoka Lagos State. He attended University of Lagos and holds a degree in Human Resources Management.

The 23-year-old Joeboy said during his interview, that having his music topping chart across the country within weeks of it dropping was the best feeling he’s ever had. $\"\"$

He said;

It was one of the best feelings ever. As a young boy from Akoka, Bariga, in Lagos State, having the number one song in a country was a beautiful feeling. I almost cried at the success of the song and I’ll forever be thankful to everyone that supports me and my music.

I’m just inspired by a lot of people in the music industry. People like Mr Eazi, Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and other artistes that make good music.

I could compose a song in 10 -30 minutes. This, however, depends on the inspiration I get at that particular time. Sometimes, it could also take me one or two days to compose a song.
