Forbes has announced its 17th annual ranking of The World’s Most Powerful Women which recognizes the trailblazers who steered countries, constituents and communities through one of the most difficult times in modern history.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel takes the No. 1 spot on the list. Christine Lagarde, President of the European Central Bank, maintains her position at No. 2 on this year’s ranking. U.S. Vice-President Elect Kamala Harris holds down the number 3 spot on the list. Melinda Gates held down the 5h position for her role in philanthropy.

Queen Elizabeth was spotted at the number 46 position. Singers Rihanna is at number 69 on the list while Beyonce and Taylor Swift were seated at the 69 and 72 position respectively.
