Kemi Olunloyo’s Instagram Page Suspended – Lifestyle Nigeria

Latest entertainment gist

Journalist Kemi Olunloyo has taken to her X account to announce that her Instagram account has been disabled.

She said her account was suspended after it was reported by Nigerians 39,000 times accusing her of collecting payments from Sammy Larry and Naira Marley. Larry and Marley and currently being dragged for making life a living hell for Mohbad leading up to his death.

Kemi Olunloyo insisted that the stories being peddled by Gistlover, whose followers are responsible for disabling her page is not true as the information given to her by one of his attending doctors say the singer died of heart complications secondary to drug abuse.

BREAKING Last night Nigerians FLAGGED my Instagram page 39,000 times accusing me of being paid by these two men Sammy Larry (who I don’t know) and Naira Marley (who I haven’t seen or spoken to in 2 yrs btw) Gistlover told them to flag any journalists page posting that Mohbad died from heart complications secondary to drug use. I was the first person to report that exclusively as told by a doctor who treated him in the hospital. He was not DOA (dead on arrival) he was alive. He did not die of juju charms, he died of depression and anxiety leading to more drug use to pacify his pains. He did not die months ago as posted by VDM. Effective tomorrow I will no longer report Nigerian news on any of my platforms and I will not appeal my Instagram suspension in the next 180 days. Exactly 2 years ago Sept 12th 2021 I lost my verified 650K page because of flags on my Hushpuppi, Oromoni and Coza investigations. I had no chance to appeal as I missed the 30 day deadline as I never saw the link on my iOS. It was later discovered on my Android but expired. All my investigative journalism archives were GONE. The only back up was on YouTube. I will no longer report news to illiterates and uneducated people and will join Paetron and Spotify Podcasts tonight to serve news to subscribers only. After 35K flags

@Meta’s computer disables pages and one has to appeal a very tedious process. I started journalism February 9th 1994 and end February 9th 2024. Most people retire after 30 yrs. 5 months to go. I will address the nation at 8pm Nigerian time on TikTok at #Kemitalks where I have 30,000 new followers all laying every manner of curses on me. It is time to separate myself from the negativity of a negative country. After losing my page 2021, I left Instagram for a year then opened a new page 140K and used it solely for drug abuse prevention and education something no celebrities do. I then ended my 18 month campaign with the NDLEA, schools, workplaces and communities and returned to reels and entertainment, health news etc. At any one time will I come into your office to destroy your work. How do you feel destroying mine? I will no longer use Instagram. I have told them to refund all my subscribers. Disabled twice on the same day two years apart. 222

Did the economy make you marry the man you never loved? Dera Duru scripts!

Did the economy make you marry the man you never loved? Dera Duru scripts!
Dera Duru (Author)

You did not tell your boyfriend that you were getting married. So when your phone rings on your wedding night and his name and picture appear on your phone’s screen, you do not pick the call. It continues to ring, this iphone with its delicate features, with his face on the screen; his reddish lips glowing redder. You do not pick.

Your husband stands up from the bed, his slightly protruded belly hanging low, as if tired. He walks out of the room. The sound of his footsteps against the cool, mirrored tiles is the sound of a person’s palm is beating the surface of water. When you are sure that he is out of earshot, you pick up your phone to call Kunle back, but then a text buzzes in from him.

It reads:
“One day our dreams will come true. We will both be the people we want to be. Happy and of course blessed. Then I will have my heart’s one desire – coming back every day to see my bae on the couch, with those hot legs crossed. I will kiss you and then we’d talk about our day and what to do about our children’s performances in school. Till then, sleep well, my love.’

You feel a movement in your chest. A warm sensation wraps around you, like a cuddle. Your husband comes into the room. He does not see the tears you blink back. He will never know that your eyes burn on the inside. He smiles at you, a suggestive smile, and you smile back.

  ‘Coming, Emeka,’ you say.
He nods quickly and you enter the bathroom. As you close the bathroom door, your back leaned against its smooth surface, you exhale slowly, feverishly. You take off your smalls and climb into the bathtub, your phone in your right hand. You swipe open the screen and reread the text message again. This time around, there is a rhythm in your heart, a vibration of some sort. The water rises around you, its white foam the same color as your bathtub, the color of snow. You read the part where he writes, ‘with those legs crossed’ and you laugh, tears streaming down your cheeks unrestrainedly. You do not know how long you stay like that until you hear your husband banging on the bathroom door and saying: ‘Is everything alright?’

You jerk into reality and, almost in slow motion, stand up from the tub.

When you come out, your husband looks at you from hair to toe.

I cannot change my father's name to a man just because of marriage - Mary-Agnes Bassey
The female gender promulgator, Miss Mary-Agnes Ansa Bassey Otudor. A seasoned speaker and prolific writer.

She just dropped a bomb this week on her timeline.

About a woman retaining her father’s name after marriage.

I once had this relationship with a certain guy… In one of our conversations, I told him that when I eventually get married I won’t change my name.
I told him not changing my surname to his will not make me love my husband less or be a less wife to him or mother of/to his kids. My children will bear his names.

Dude told me that won’t work with him. In fact, we should start reconsidering our relationship.  We had an issue which led to a break up but dude later came back, apologized for Africa as you can see in the picture. He even went as far as telling me that he’ll let me retain my surname if we marry lol.

The issue of retaining my name is one of the things I usually tell anyone interested in having a relationship with me. Just allow me bear my name after marriage and you’ll have the Best wife in the world.
I mean I’m working my ass off, going to schools, getting certificates and laurels which bears my dad’s name and then one day, I’ll be expected to change my name because? I’m married?
Sometimes, I wish I may end up with someone that has Bassey as his first name or surname. That way, society will let me be great.
But then, the way the waves of life is carrying me, I might end up with someone outside my tribe and I pray the person will understand this.

Sometime in December last year, I was talking to this guy who seemed interested in me. I inquired to know his take on “Women keeping their dad’s name after marriage” and what he said to me was a great turn off.

He told me a woman he marries with his MONEY won’t even try that NONSENSE. She belongs to him and his family and everything about her family in her has to go. I’m even putting it in nicer words sef.
He made it look like a woman is a property he acquires. I just knew im not for sale. He could not even make it to the list lol.
