Nigerian entertainer Charles Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has reacted to the recent restriction on motorcycle (Okada) and tricycle activities in some parts of Lagos state.
Concise News reports that the state government had on 26 January announced that it would commence enforcement of the extant Transport Sector Reform Law 2020 from February 1.
The law restricted the operation of motorcycles in some local government areas, local council development areas, highways, bridges and roads.
Reacting to the development in an Instagram post, Charly Boy said he received a lot of calls asking him to call the state government to order.
In a lengthy post, the “Our Mumu Don Go” convener, said he was in total support of the move.
“EMERGENCY!!!!! People dey ask me say, CharlyBoy why you allow Lagos state government Ban Keke/Okada riders for most major roads for Lagos. Say, even since dem Ban dem you never talk anything. People just dey Trek anyhow for Lagos,” he wrote.
“I go just take style answer dem. “The Okada People I dey see now no be my boys” Most of them no know me and me no know dem.
