Reports reaching us from Nasawara State indicate that a young man has been nabbed after he allegedly defiled a teenage girl.
The man is a 30-year-old man identified as Mohammed Sani and he was nabbed by men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Nasarawa State.
The man committed the alleged atrocity in the Angwatashi area of the Obi Local Government Area of the state.
The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the command, Saraju Muhammed who stated that the suspect lured his victim into a secluded place.
He stated that the suspect deceived the girl that he was buying sachet water from her and that was when he got the chance to commit the task.
The activity of the suspect was uncovered when the girl went home and her parents realized her unusual movement.
She was questioned by her parent and confiding in them, she told them what happened adding that the suspect threatened to kill her if she ever revealed what he had done to her.
Her parents then reported the incident at the Angwatashi Police Station and this led to the arrest of the suspect.
After his arrest, the suspect confessed to committing the crime and would be charged to court as soon as investigation into the matter is completed.
