“My Husband Told Me He Married Me Out Of Pity, Cheated on Me Always” Harrysong’s Ex Wife, Alexer Says – Lifestyle Nigeria

The revelations surrounding Harrysong’s marriage continue to unfold as his estranged wife, Alexer Perez Gopa is throwing more light on their tumultuous relationship. Following their separation announcement in January, Alexer has come forward to share her side of the story, detailing the challenges she faced during their time together.

The couple’s marital woes first surfaced in January when an alleged WhatsApp conversation between them was leaked on social media, igniting speculation about the state of their relationship. Alexer took to Instagram to formally declare the end of their marriage, seeking solace in divine intervention with a heartfelt plea to God.

In a candid interview with Daddy Freeze, Alexer disclosed that Harrysong had consistently expressed doubts about his love for her, revealing that he had confessed to marrying her out of pity rather than genuine affection. She recounted how Harrysong’s desire for a male child had been a recurring source of tension in their marriage, exacerbating existing conflicts.

According to Alexer, Harrysong’s infidelity had become a major point of contention, causing her considerable anguish. Despite her efforts to address the issue and salvage their relationship, she found herself trapped in a cycle of emotional turmoil and mistreatment. Alexer recounted instances of physical abuse, including being slapped during heated arguments, and enduring numerous health complications as a result of the stress inflicted upon her.

The situation reached a breaking point when Alexer discovered she was pregnant with their third child, a revelation that only served to escalate the tensions between them. Despite her reservations, Harrysong insisted they proceed with the pregnancy, citing his desire for a son. However, the strain of the pregnancy took a toll on Alexer’s health, prompting concerns from medical professionals.

Throughout their tumultuous journey, Alexer grappled with feelings of helplessness and despair, torn between her commitment to the marriage and the realization that her husband’s actions were driven more by obligation than love. Despite their shared history and the two children they brought into the world, the cracks in their relationship proved too deep to mend, ultimately leading to their separation.

Harrysong and Alexer’s union, once celebrated with the promise of a lifetime together, now stands as a sobering reminder of the complexities of love and the harsh realities of failed relationships. As they navigate the aftermath of their split, both parties are left to reconcile with the shattered remnants of their once-hopeful union, each grappling with their own version of the truth and the painful scars left behind.

Nigerian Workers Deserve Better, Say Atiku and Obi

Peter-Obi-and-Atiku-Abubakar

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 election, Atiku Abubakar and his counterpart in the Labour Party, Peter Obi, have showered praises on the Nigerian workers as they join their colleagues around the world to mark this year’s workers’ day also known as May Day.

May Day which is usually celebrated first day of May each year is used to honour the contributions of the workers and the roles they play in building the society and productive economies.

Both leaders, in a separate message to celebrate the Nigerian workers on Wednesday, acknowledged their contributions to Nigeria’s growth even as they recognised the struggles the workers have faced in getting the rewards due to them.

According to Atiku, as Nigerian workers join their counterparts across the world today to celebrate International Workers Day, “it is a sobering truth that the plight of the Nigerian worker remains dire.”

He added, “Despite prolonged pledges and flowery words by the government, the much talked-about prospects of wage increment for the Nigerian worker remains a mirage. Every dawn unveils renewed hardships and harsh living conditions.

“After the contraction and contradictions by the government about whether the subsidy regime has gone or it is still being implemented, the country is today facing the angst of frustration by Nigerians who waste precious man-hours in queues at petrol stations across the country.

“The petrol subsidy is purportedly gone; yet its impact lingers – revealing the ineptitude of the current federal government. In an unprecedented manner and condescending of both the Nigerian worker and the general public, this current federal government announced a unilateral removal of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit without consultations with representatives of the Nigerian worker.”

Increasing Minimum Wage Won’t Hurt Inflation – TUC President

Festus Osifo, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) President, has stated that increasing the minimum wage for civil servants would not hurt inflation.

Lifestyle Nigeria reports that Osifo who appeared on the ‘Morning Brief’ program on Channels Television on Wednesday, justified his stance by highlighting the increased revenue allocation to states since May 2023, and therefore, he believes that a pay raise is justified.

“If you look today, from May 2023 to date, revenue from the Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) to the state governments has tripled,” he said.

“This means the state government has more money to build roads and schools to purchase other items.

“The most critical aspect of production is labour. It is for you to take part of the money and pay workers. That won’t increase inflation because the money will be spent anyway; if you don’t give it to workers, it will be spent on other projects.

“Giving workers what is due them won’t necessarily worsen inflation.”

The TUC has proposed N615,000 as the new minimum wage for workers.

Osifo’s comments come at a time when Nigerians are facing economic hardship due to the removal of subsidies on petrol and the unification of the exchange rate windows.
