A spokesperson of the Jamestown stool, Nii Quaye, has disclosed

A spokesperson of the Jamestown stool, Nii Quaye, has disclosed that the elders of the of Jamestown (Naa Ye Wei) are heading to the court to sue Mzbel for contempt.

You will recall that Mzbel over the weekend on UTV’s United Showbiz program alleged that she’s been defrauded by Naa Ye Wei.

She indicated that the ‘judge’ of the traditional court (chief priest) and his assistants have absconded with her money without ‘granting her request’.

“I’m so embarrassed saying this; but how can a chief priest fall sick and be hospitalized when you can go for herbs? Don’t go there; they will take your money and fall sick. No one should go there; they are fraudsters….they collected GH¢2000 and didn’t do anything…” Mzbel said on UTV’s United Showbiz.

Reacting to the allegation, the spokesperson for the Jamestown stool has disliked that Mzbel is yet to be summoned at the court.

“She should come for her money as soon as possible because listen… the elders have checked in to lead the case to the court,” Nii Quaye disclosed in the live interview.

Latest entertainment gist

The hardship persists more than years now in Nigeria, making more women come out to appeal to President Tinubu to help their situation, as cost of living is unbearable.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, two women expressed their sadness over the high cost of living in Nigeria. One of the women who claimed she voted for President Tinubu during the 2023 elections, then said;

‘’President Bola Tinubu, we all voted for you. We thought you would assist us. We are hungry! You can see that I have a load on my head. I have trekked a long distance with it. The money is not enough for the fare to my destination. Please pity the poor/masses. The masses came out to vote for you. I voted for you so you could win. We are hungry!”

In a separate interview, another woman said:

“We are hungry! A tin of rice now sells for N1,200.  A five-litre of vegetable oil is N7,000. Tinubu, is that good? Everything is expensive. We are hungry. Pity the poor. Have mercy on us, Have mercy on us. So that we don’t let us die of hunger. Don’t let us suffer”
