                                   \"\"                          \"\"The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the Confederation of African Football (Caf) and Italian club, Udinese have celebrated with Nigerian defender, William Troost-Ekong as he turned 27 today September 1.The centre-back was born in the Netherlands to a Nigerian father and Dutch mother, Eleanore Troost, in September 1993.Ekong was part of the Super Eagles team that finished third at the 2020 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, behind Senegal and champions Algeria.The defender started his football career in England with Fulham before teaming up with Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur's academy.From there he went to Dutch side Groningen in 2013, went on loan with Dordrecht then moved to Belgium in 2015 to join Gent.He signed for Bursaspor in 2017 before teaming up with Udinese.The defender made his debut for the Super Eagles in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad and has now played 42 times for the West Africans.The football world has now sent him hearty birthday wishes.\"\"\"\"Happy birthday to him. .
