Manchester United forward blows hot on X

Latest entertainment gist

The Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has spoken out against the criticism he’s faced this season, labelling it as “abuse.” Despite his prominent role in the team, Rashford has struggled to find the back of the net, managing only eight goals in 40 appearances.

The 26-year-old has been the target of both fans and pundits due to his performance on the field. Responding to a post on X, a former social media platform, which condemned the treatment he’s received as “absolutely disgusting” and “cruel,” Rashford expressed his frustration, stating that the level of criticism has reached intolerable levels.

In his reply, Rashford emphasized, “It is abuse and has been for months. Enough is enough.”

Rashford’s form this season has led to repercussions within the team as well. Manager Erik ten Hag dropped him to the bench for two matches following a subpar performance in United’s 1-0 defeat against Newcastle in December.

Additionally, the Dutch manager has criticized Rashford’s off-field behavior, adding to the pressure the forward is facing.
