Popular Nollywood actor, Kabiri Fubara, has died from cancer complications.

His sister, Aya Eneli, made the announcement on her Twitter page on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

He was said to have died on December 12, 2021.

Her tweet read: “My brother, Karibi Fubara, has joined the ancestral realm. I’m devastated, but not hopeless.

“He lived fully and with joy. Left a great body of work. Will be a powerful ancestor. I love you.

“He was a warrior, now he is an angel in heaven.”

Nollywood actors have taken turns to pour out their condolences to the family.

Actress Toyin Abraham mourned with the late actor’s wife, Yolanda Okereke.

She posted a picture on her Instagram page, with the caption, “My darling Yolanda, love you so much.”

Richard Mofe Damijo, popularly known as RMD, wrote, “Hmmmmmm what a loss! Just when I thought… it is well with you.”

Rita Dominic wrote, “Rest with angels dear Karibi.”

Kate Henshaw wrote: “Rest on Karibi.”

Shan George wrote, “So sorry for ur loss, pls accept my condolences.”

Mo Abudu wrote, “My darling twinnie, he fought a good fight. Such a lovely soul. May the Lord be your strength at this time. RIP Karibi.”

“I’m just here praying for strength for you and Yolo. Bro, Glad I and the kids could make you laugh the last time you were here. Sleep well Karibi. Sleep well.” Ufuoma McDermott wrote.

Omoni Oboli wrote, “Rest well champ. You fought. Now you rest. My thoughts and prayers are with you sis. Love you loads.”

Others include Funke Akindele Bello, Juliet Ibrahim, Debola Williams, Waje, e.t.c.

Kabiri, who made his debut with his role in Before 30, had revealed last year that he is being diagnosed with cancer.

He starred in other movies like  Royal Hibiscus Hotel, Castle and Castle, Quam’s Money and God Calling.

Kabiri got married to popular Nollywood fashion entrepreneur, Yolanda Okereke, in 2020.
