Shock As Man Rapes Prophetess Inside Church

A 40-year-old identified as Lekan Sunday has been arrested by the police after he allegedly raped a prophetess in a church in Ogun State.

It was gathered that the suspect stormed the church, Orioke Aanu Oluwa Gbohunmi, in the Ilogbo Adu area of Kemta in Abeokuta with weapons and met the victim sleeping.

He was said to have held the prophetess hostage while brandishing a knife in her face that he would kill her if she continued to give him a tough time.

When her call for help from people around the premises did not yield results, the prophetess was said to have started pleading with the suspect to pity her.

Despite several pleas with Sunday, the suspect was said to have insisted on having s3x with the prophetess.

After finally forcing her into submission and allegedly raping the prophetess, the victim was said to have approached a nearby police station, where the matter was reported.

Having received the complaint, the police launched a manhunt for the suspect who had fled.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the rape of the prophetess said the victim recognised the suspect as a mason and labourer in the area.

“The incident happened last Thursday. We arrested the suspect yesterday (Monday). The preliminary investigation into the matter is ongoing,” Odutola said.

Lifestyle Nigeria gathered that A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and one of the governorship aspirants during 2023 elections in Ogun State, Segun Showunmi, on Monday, cautioned President Bola Tinubu from toeing path of an ingrate.

Otunba Showunmi said that President Tinubu can not afford to be a betrayal of the trust the north has in the south as far as managing the political landscape of nigeria is concerned.

Showunmi condemned Tinubu’s total neglect of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai and Yahaya Bello, the former governors of Kaduna and Kogi States, respectively, despite working tirelessly to ensure that the former governor of Lagos emerged last February as the new President of nigeria.

The PDP chieftain disclosed this in a statement titled “This Madness Must Stop” and made available to journalists on Monday.

Showunmi accused Tinubu of allowing the former Kogi governor to suffer unnecessary humiliation at the hands of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission despite his invaluable contribution to actualising Tinubu’s presidency, while other former governors of the Peoples Democratic Party are allowed to stroll all over the town.

FBI nabs Nigerian official trying to flee U.S. with family after contract procurement fraud

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) on April 2 took into custody Ifediora Oli, a dual citizen of Nigeria and the United States, for allegedly conniving with two persons to defraud the District of Columbia public transit system after securing a Covid-19 testing kit contract worth more than half a million dollars.

Documents seen by Peoples Gazette revealed that Mr Oli, 41, hurriedly purchased plane tickets for himself, his partner and his daughter to travel to Nigeria as soon as he learnt he was under criminal investigation by the U.S. government for his dubious handling of a $659,000 contract to supply pandemic testing kits to the District of Columbia’s Department of Forensic Sciences (DFS).

FBI Special Agent Deborah Frye collected evidence for the complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia on March 28, which led to Mr Oli’s arrest at his Silver Spring, Maryland, residence on April 2.

Mr Oli, an employee for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, who was illegally running his own side business, Highbury Global Group, Inc., allegedly plotted with his longtime friend identified as co-conspirator 1 — a staff of Metropolitan Transit Authority “WMATA”— and co-conspirator 2 (romantic partner of co-conspirator 1) to win and share the proceeds of a government contract deemed a violation of the American law, Ms Frye deposed in court.

Co-conspirator 2, also nicknamed BriBri, worked as a contract specialist at the Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP), a U.S. agency responsible for awarding government contracts to bidding companies.

As a contract specialist at the OCP, co-conspirator 2 was taxed with selecting a company to supply the medical test kits to the DFS in 2021. But she not only allegedly influenced the selection of Mr Oli’s Highbury company for the bid, she also benefited from it, Ms Frye said.

Co-conspirator 2 allegedly used her position as a contract specialist to subtly pressure her colleagues into speeding up the contract award to Mr Oli.
