WE DON’T HAVE TO EXPOSE OUR PRIVATE LIVES ON FACEBOOK…ALL THE TIME!

Latest entertainment gist

Love Eshiet writes…

(Caveat: This post may not resonate well with some of us, but please do a deep introspection and see how you can adjust)

While it is a personal stuff, I am beginning to worry about how some of us practically live our lives on social media. Some of us don’t have privacy any longer. You upload pictures of what you do at home, even in your bedroom (with your wife, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend and even manfriend), what you do on you way to work, at work, on your way back and so on.

If you are traveling, the whole world must know. If you want to buy something or you have bought it, the whole world must hear about it. You must take pictures everywhere you go. We hardly worry about the security implications of all these.

Your facebook friends can tell of your routine. Yet, they have never met you in person. They have idea of how your bedroom looks like. They know the car you drive, they know where your house is and even know the
 places you have visited!

I told a lady yesterday that it is easy for someone to know if you are into ‘aristo’ (a socially acceptable word for campus prostitution). She asked why. And I explained:

Most young ladies like taking photographs everywhere to upload on social media. I said if someone notices that you have pictures taken inside different cars and hotel rooms (most ladies do this and they don’t even know the message such photos send out about them) and most discerning observers know hotel rooms from a bedroom, he or she will easily conclude you don’t take such pictures during evangelism!

A MUST READ: HABITS THAT SHOW IMPROPER UPBRINGING IN CHILDREN

Latest entertainment gist

Please, carefully look into the list below to see where you may want to make amends on yourself or the young ones you are caring for.

Children, if not properly groomed may never get to the top in life, even if the parents are at the top of their career.

Manners take you to where your education can’t take you, irrespective of your status, money or the “who you know” factor.

This is not meant to hurt anyone or pinpoint on someone for their upbringing. Its a general message targeted to all the parents of today.

1. Going to your child’s school dressed indecently? Think again.

2. Speaking rashly to your child’s teacher.

“My Encounter with a Yoruba Demon”…. part 1: Linda Adeniyi bares her mind

"My Encounter with a Yoruba Demon".... part 1: Linda Adeniyi bares her mind
Linda and the Yoruba Demon

Sighs…

Legend have it that certain type of boys are very dangerous in Nigeria: they are swift talker, charming, handsome, well-spoken and most often can be VERY heartless: they create a Cinderella dream in the mind of unsuspecting ladies and just when You about basking in the ambience of the euphoria of their companion, they disappear into thin air…leaving You wondering how possible is it that someone can be so GOOD AT BEEN GOOD AND so GOOD AT BEEN BAD at the same time

This Happened to Yours Truly Linda Adeniyi

It was on one fateful morning in the month of February; many months after been discharged from the hospital following a road traffic accident that almost  cost Me My Dear Life leaving me with some permanent scars…I was very glad to be alive and finally outta of the Hospital and getting back on track with my life after many months of incarceration from solitude…

The memory of the stench oozing from the four walls of the health center where I resided for months was still fresh in my head and was nauseating…to think I’m about to return to that gory place like a caged animal in the zoo because of how my body was feeling that morning made my head swirled around 360 degrees making me more sick than I already was: my mind and soul kept refusing the thought;  reminiscing my experience, it’s not a place I was willing to go back to without a fight; I’ll rather endure the pain and the bile building up deep inside me than allow myself go back there.

Fast forward…Three days later, I got a call from my Physiotherapist who also double as a friend…

Bae! How Far na? how are you feeling now?

A faint sound from a weak me replied I’m good ‘jare’ just tired

You don’t sound good at all he replied…I know you hate the hospital but please can you come see a friend of mine…he’s a doctor.
