Nigerian singer and songwriter, Wizkid has set a new record for himself and the country, as he becomes the first African singer to hit a total of 2billion streams on music streaming app, Spotify.


The news of this feat was disclosed by foreign media personality, Mike Adams, on his Twitter page.

Announcing the news, he also congratulated the Nigerian artiste for this monumental achievement.

According to Adams, this now places the ‘Joro’ singer at the 129th position on the Spotify artist chart history.
