Tinubu, Shettima won\’t do differently from Buhari, Osinbajo – Kwankwaso

THE presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, says the presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress won’t do differently from the incumbents.’

Kwankwaso made this known today in an interview on Arise TV in reaction to Bola Tinubu’s choice of Kassim Shettima as his running mate.

Speaking shortly after a closed-door session with President Buhari in Daura, Katsina, Tinubu explained why he chose Shettima as running mate saying, “I chose him because he is competent, capable and reliable.”

On the purpose of his visit, he said “We came to pay homage to him (Buhari) and to share part of his holiday and lunch. And to discuss the question of my substantive running mate .

“The one we put in as placement has withdrawn today. There has been an announcement to replace him fully with a substantive candidate, Kashim Shettima.”

But in reaction, Kwankwaso said he is happy with the combination.

He, however, said the pair won’t do anything different from the current administration.

The former Kano State governor also advised Tinubu to take care of his health.
