UNIUYO STAFF Electrocuted while Reconnecting Vandalized Armored Cable

A staff member of the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, known as Effiong Joseph, was electrocuted.

The incident was confirmed to have occurred on Thursday afternoon, January 28, while the deceased and his colleague, Michael Udosen, were attempting to reconnect an armored cable that had previously been vandalized near the institution’s city campus language laboratory.

Effiong died on the spot while Udosen is still unconscious after being rushed to the University Teaching hospital for treatment.
