"When I don’t get content, I cry" Nasboi speaks of the struggles of content creation

One of Nigeria’s sensarional skit makers, Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji, better known as Nasboi, has revealed the struggles of skit makers.

Nasboi while featuring on Television Continental’s afternoon programme, ESplash, stated that getting ideas for content isn’t easy for him despite being multi-talented

He said creating content as a skit maker is not easy and he gets emotional and cries most times when he does not get ideas for more than three weeks.

He said

“I don’t have scriptwriters. All my skits are my brain work. Everything is me.

“People make it look like, ‘you are so talented, it [inspiration] just come.’ It’s a lie o.

“Sometimes, I could stay like three weeks and I don’t get a single content. A lot of people are not so emotional, my emotion is on the high side. So, when I don’t get content, I cry. I’m not lying to you. It gets that bad. I feel like, ah! Dem don collect my talent. Two weeks and nothing is funny to me. It happens.”

Nigerians express concern over President Tinubu’s whereabouts

The World Economic Forum Special Meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, ended on Monday.

The meeting was attended by world leaders leaders, including President Bola Tinubu.

However, despite the meeting’s end, the President is yet to return to Nigeria, which has sparked concerns from Nigerians on social media platforms regarding his whereabouts and the reason for his extended absence.

Reports indicate that after departing Saudi Arabia, the President traveled to London, England, on Tuesday, followed by a subsequent journey to France on Thursday.

Amid ongoing drama in the Nigerian music industry, another episode has unfolded, this time involving singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni.

The drama began when a man, @ade_diran_ took to social media to question why Teni has remained single despite her numerous achievements, adding that age is not on her side.

He tweeted, “You suppose don day husband house like this ooo time day go.”

Unwilling to let the comment slide, Teni responded with a fiery comeback, telling the man to rather advise his mother to marry a wealthy individual so they can be liberated from poverty.

Her tweet read, “Tell your momsi, make she remarry rich person, comot una from this poverty.”

Which particular movie was very difficult for you to write?

The script that caused the most trouble for me while I was writing it is the movie entitled Yahoo Boy; this is because it required a lot of research. You would have noticed that the movie does not depict the usual Hausa land setting.
