A former senator, Suleiman Hunkuyi, has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Hunkuyi joined PDP from the All Progressives Congress shortly before the 2020 general elections.

However, he did not state his new party or next decision in the letter to his ward chairman in Kudan Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The State PDP Secretary, Ibrahim Wosono, also confirmed that the party had received Senator Hunkuyi’s letter.

Ibrahim Wosono said, “We confirmed from his ward that they have received his letter.

State Govt Shuts Down Hotels, Catholic, Other Churches Over Noise Pollution (See Photos)

 

Lifestyle Nigeria gathered that the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, has temporarily shut down churches, hotels, bars and other establishments in several areas of the state over alleged noise pollution.

The affected areas include Ifako-Ijaiye, Abesan Estate, Abule-Egba, Alagbado, Command and Dopemu.

Tokunbo Wahab, the state Commissioner of the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, posted this on his X handle on Friday.

Affected establishments include the Catholic Church, 1602 Hotel, Seventh Heaven Bar & Lounge, Lourita Hotel & Suites, God’s Porch Ministries, Wonderful Bible Prayer Ministries, White Pavilion Hotel, Quest Hotel & Suites, Excel Hotel & Suite and HoneyComb Confectionery Ltd.

The statement said the establishments were temporarily closed to “compel compliance with environmental regulations.

“LASEPA emphasized the vital importance of businesses adhering to environmental standards.”

Nigerian lady breaks Guinness World Record for longest interview

A Nigerian lady, Clara Chizoba Kronborg breaks the world record for the longest interviewing marathon, spanning 55 hours and 24 seconds.

The beautiful lady who currently lives in Spain made success with the daring feat, beating the previous holder’s time of 37 hours and 44 minutes.

She owns a talk show on YouTube and this was a major visibility boost for her.

Clara who grew up in relative poverty in Onitsha, Nigeria revealed that she was amazed by the idea and concept of success.

This was why the 90 candidates she selected for the 55 hours long interview were individuals of different nationalities, backgrounds and careers.

In her words; “This record attempt was about bringing together diverse individuals, sharing their inspiring narratives, and forging meaningful connections on a global scale.
“I am committed to amplifying voices, particularly those of hardworking women, and using their stories to inspire others facing similar challenges.”

Although she successfully broke the record, it wasn’t without difficulties as she had to deal with a painful menstrual period and had to wear adult diapers as she drank too much water because of her voice.

Thankfully, she broke the Guinness World record and is now one of the influential Nigerians to put the country on the global stage.

BREAKING: Tinubu Lands In Saudi Arabia (Update)

 

 

Lifestyle Nigeria gathered that President Bola Tinubu on Friday evening, arrived in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, to participate in the 2024 Special World Economic Forum, WEF, on Global Collaboration, Growth, and Energy for Development.

The President’s arrival marks the beginning of the second leg of his two-nation official visits, following his earlier engagements this week in the Hague, Netherlands.

The presidential spokesman, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, stated that over 1,000 leaders from business, government, and academia from more than 90 countries are expected to attend the high-profile forum in Riyadh.

He explained that the aim is to build on the success of last year’s inaugural Growth Summit held in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Riyadh meeting is expected to address pressing global challenges across three core themes: revitalizing global collaboration, fostering inclusive growth, and catalyzing action on energy for development.
