Thomas Muller, the stalwart midfielder of Bayern Munich, has solidified his commitment to the club by signing a one-year contract extension, ensuring his continued presence until at least June 30, 2025.
Having dedicated the prime years of his illustrious football career to Bayern Munich, the 34-year-old German forward has amassed an impressive tally of 684 senior appearances since his debut in 2008.
Muller’s remarkable tenure at Bayern boasts an enviable collection of honors, including twelve German Bundesliga titles, three Champions League triumphs, eight German Supercups, and six German cups.
In response to Muller’s contract extension, Bayern’s president Herbert Hainer expressed admiration, stating, “Bayern has been shaped by many people, and there will never again be a player like Thomas Müller.”
The extension is anticipated to further solidify the camaraderie within Bayern Munich, particularly with the club’s recent acquisition, Harry Kane. Reports suggest a close bond forming between Muller, former Manchester City winger Leroy Sane, and Kane, who are regarded as the English striker’s closest confidants within the team, as reported by The Athletic.
During the previous winter transfer window, Manchester United expressed interest in signing the revered German international, propelled by coach Erik ten Hag’s admiration for the 34-year-old forward. However, the prospective deal failed to materialize.
