The Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department, Alagbon, Ikoyi in Lagos State says it has arrested some persons in connection with the alleged attempt to kidnap prominent Nigerian musician, Tiwa Savage.

Spokesperson of the FCID, Oluniyi Ogundeyi, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Lagos.

NAN reports that the news of the attempt to kidnap the musician broke out on Friday through the social media.

The reports revealed that the musician’s private security’s vigilance and the Nigeria police saved her from the suspects.

It was gathered that the failed plot was allegedly planned by Savage’s new domestic staff, who had been entrusted with vital information about her.

Sources said that the domestic staff had been trailing the singer as she left her home and shared the information with other members of the alleged kidnapping gang.

Ogundeyi, a Chief Superintendent of Police told the NAN: “Yes, we have some suspects.

:They are in our custody.

“They are about four.”

Based on a popular 2010 Novel, Mockingjay, the movie continues  the story of  Katniss Everdeen who became a  symbol of a mass rebellion against the ruling class (The Capitol) for a good cause. Saturday’s  movie tempo peaks with the screening of the Nollywood movie Iman. Continuing the movie-hit on Sunday is a very interesting American movie, Scorpion King. Showing 7:00 p.m. on Movie Room (GOtv ch.28). Organisers of the One Fight Ultimate (OFU) Fight Night  Saturday said that no fewer than 10 fighters are set to compete for honours at the incoming event.

The OFU President, Chief Ifeobi Udo told a press conference to herald the event – OFU 2 coming up today, Sunday, April 16, expressing confidence in organising an entertaining show.

He urged lovers of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) to come out in numbers and experience what he sees as the mother of shows in the Nigerian sports entertainment as regards to combat sports.

“We are very excited to once again put our funds in what we believe would thrill fans and lovers of the mixed martial arts.
